Thanks to Mary Whisonant for the coordinating the St Luke’s The Early Years event and to all the volunteers who helped make it a success. It was a very imformative and entertaining evening.
Mary always organizes wonderful events!!!! I was happy be a participant in the Early Years Event. Thanks to everyone who helped with all the fantastic food. I would love to have the Pumpkin Cake recipe so if anyone has a copy pass it along and I will post it on the blog!!!!
We are blessed to have you in our congregation. God has lead you to His service and He will lead you through your discernment process. You are in my prayers.
To Linda Hoyle…thanks so much for all your hard work in putting together the book and stories for our veterans. You did a great job. Also, thanks to you, Pat O, Jane, Pat G, and everyone else for the hot dog dinner afterwards. We really appreciated it.
Thanks so much for the wonderful winter card. I so agree with you that we should cherish all of our seasons, the snow this winter has been wonderful,, bringing back the memories of childhood, the peace that comes with watching the silence of the flakes falling, the calm tha comes with a pristine covering of sparkling white. I for one am at my happiest when snow is falling and never wish it be gone before its time.
I had the most enjoyable telephone conversation with an AT&T customer service rep located in the Philippines on a Friday afternoon as the snow was falling. I mentioned to him that it was snowing and he asked me to describe snow falling to him. He said one of his wishes in life was to see snow. I told him that snow flakes are like small cold feathers that melt when they touch your skin and that when they are falling the world is quiet, just the almost silent sound of the flakes falling on those that are already on the ground. He said “It must be truly awe inspiring.” You know he had it right.
Thanks again for the card. I will cherish it.
